Our Team

Mike Farah, Founder/Director

As a 7 year old walking to the playground, it was on the way that he stumbled on to a small church parking lot with a baseball field.  This field was called FAITH FIELD.  Because of the church’s ministry, he fell in love with baseball and first learned about the love of Jesus Christ.  Over the years, God has given Mike a vision of how they could “pay it forward.”  By observing the trends & climate of today’s youth leagues, FFBM is offered as an alternative and is the first of its kind in the Jacksonville area.  After graduating from JU on a baseball scholarship in 1982, Mike coached baseball for 10 years, and have been president of Farah Financial Group since 1987.  His love for baseball has never wavered, and it is his desire to see baseball as a platform for reaching others with the Good News of Jesus Christ.  Since inception, Faith Field has been humbled and amazed at God's grace and how He has grown and Blessed the Ministry.  Mike is increasingly thankful for the wonderful people he has brought  in our organization and the blessings bestowed and the Hundreds we have Reached for the Gospel of Christ.  Married to an amazing wife, Karen, since 1997.  Both have a love for their two dogs and support CCI (Canines for Independence) of Jacksonville.  Mike enjoys golfing and traveling occasionally. Mike's home church is Promise Land Baptist Church in Jacksonville where he is actively involved teaching a Sunday school class and working in children's ministry

Cody Ragland, Co-Director

Cody is a Jacksonville native. He grew up going to church, school, playing ball, and working. Growing up his parents were always taking him and his little brother to church. Cody says they had a servant heart and enjoyed worshipping and celebrating the Lord. This made him desire to seek Christ from a young age. When he was 12, he attended his first summer youth camp where he realized that no matter how serious his parents were in their relationship with Jesus, no matter how often he was in church or memorizing scripture, if he did not have his own personal relationship with Jesus, he would never have his sins washed away and therefore would spend eternity separated from God. This was a little scary but it really forced young Cody to make a decision. That week at camp he knew he had never received Christ because his life was never changed by Christ. That same week he told the Lord “Yes”. He was surrendering his life to whatever God had for him and more specifically he felt the call to missions. Not long after that he was offered the opportunity to go on a baseball mission trip to Nicaragua with Faith Field. That trip changed his life. Not only did he love Jesus but baseball was very high on his favorite things to do list. While continuing to grow as a young Christian, Cody was able to also become a talented young ballplayer who ended up playing for 2 years at Trinity Baptist College. After that, he studied engineering at the University of North Florida. Once he graduated he began working in the engineering field. All the while he knew his calling was missions, he felt the Lord continually saying “not yet” to all of his plans. After many years of desiring to be a missionary for Jesus Cody joined Faith Field as their first missionary. He is raising support so him and his fiance can continue doing what it is they have been called to: Serving the Lord to the ends of the earth!
